Describing a Hot Air Balloon

I have learnt to use interesting words to make my writing more fascinating for readers to enjoy. My digital learning shows similes. What I enjoyed about this was getting creative with colours especially in my fonts used. The challenges I found were finding the interesting words to use because there were so many words to choose from. What I might do differently next time is use a different selection of words.

What interesting words might you use?

Describing a Hot Air Balloon

The patterns are creative like an artist's inspiration. The beautiful colours are as bright as the sun shining. The sunset/sunrise is so beautiful  like a dark red rose. The desert town below is looking like a peaceful little village. The shallow rocky river is flowing gracefully like the ocean waves. The amount of balloons flying in the sky is like the amount of children in a school. The day sky is blending  into the nightfall  just like blending pastels and paint. The clouds look so fluffy and white like husky fur. The interesting view in the sky is so lovely like a field full of all kinds of beautiful  flowers.

  1. Amazing blog post Tina. I love the way you described what you were learning and that you're already thinking of your next steps. You've used so many interesting words. Where did you find them? Have you ever used a thesaurus?

    1. Hi Phil, thank you for your questions. I don't think I have used a thesaurus before but I will next time. The words I used were from memory from watching movies and reading books.
